Operating as a Crowd Safety Management Company, NDSS staff are often the first stop for many persons requiring assistance. Some people need help getting to the medics; others just need directions to the nearest loo. However, on many occasions, some people require help with personal or relationship problems, or it could be due to an over indulgence or a bad experience with alcohol or drugs. Sometimes they may have damaged camping equipment due to the weather, or it could be for many other reasons associated with large numbers of people, anywhere.
With demand for festival tickets increasing every year, so the number of people attending also increases. Most festivals continue around the clock, often lasting for three or four days. This provides plenty of time for, unfortunately, things to go wrong.
Unlike most welfare providers, Welfest employ all their own staff and do not operate any sort of deposit scheme. Our staff receive a one to one interview, are assessed for their ability to provide a caring, helpful and understanding manner, CRB checked to an Enhanced Level allowing them to assist children and vulnerable adults and receive certificated training to at least a Level 1 in: Substance Misuse & Awareness, Basic First Aid and Nationals in Health and Social Care. This allows us to provide the level of service required when assisting many modern day festival attendees. In fact, some of our staff already come from the nursing or social care sector.
Our list of services will include:
1. Site Layout Information
